First, I would like to thank Bertrand for your hospitality. I would also like to thank Irene for all of your help and assistance when needed and for the wonderful meals. With that said, I would like to stress what a wonderful time we had staying at Helios House. I would highly recommend Helios House for anyone’s visit to Eleuthera and am confident we will be staying here again. For our trip we rented the main house and the Helios tower as we had a total of 10 people. The property is very large and it never felt crammed at all. To be fair, we spent almost our entire time outside, but the accommodations were excellent for a large group. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of towels and amenities to feel comfortable during our stay. The beach is one of the nicest beaches I have ever seen. I don’t say this lightly. I have traveled fairly extensively around the world to some of the nicest beaches in Europe, the Caribbean, and the South Pacific. This is certainly on the “best of list”. Other than the pink sand and clear blue water what made it so special is that for the entire week we saw only 2 other people one day. It really felt as though we had the entire beach to ourselves. Essentially we did. Our group spent most of the time on the beach all day and almost every day. We would stock up a cooler from the house and spend most of the day relaxing and swimming in the calm, warm water. The house came equipped with snorkel gear, a kayak, and some floats so there was always something to do. As evening approached we would typically relocate up to the pool. The view from the backyard is exceptional. The infinity pool was tranquil, warm, and a great place to hang out day or night. The patio table is large enough to fit the group and the Sonos was easily audible from the pool deck. We had Irene cook dinner for us 4 nights out of our stay, one lunch and one breakfast. They were all excellent and I would highly recommend her. I would also like to thank Shirley for cleaning the house during our stay and Sherman for picking fresh coconuts from the property (and showing us how to open them). On the other nights we went to Tippy’s a few times and to the Buccaneer once. When we chose to go out we preferred to take taxi’s although Tippy’s is technically walkable. I asked for our taxi driver’s card on the way from the airport and would call and schedule service as needed. They would generally wait nearby while we ate dinner and would take us back when we were done. It was simple and a great way to get away. It was an easy drive into GH for supplies. We did have 1 rental car for the week and we timed it at 10 minutes to the food store. We preferred to go to the Shell Station food store. They had pretty much everything we needed. It was easy enough to make a run every morning to pick up a case of beer, some wine, and whatever snacks or food we needed. As far as other activities go we chose to head out on a boat trip out of Spanish Wells one day. At the northern point of the island this was a bit of a hike, but easily doable for anyone looking to explore. We never made it down south. As I already noted we didn’t see a need to leave the house any other days. In conclusion, the property was excellent and I would highly recommend staying there.

We just returned from an incredible 1 week stay at Helios House. The location was unbeatable, owner and staff were very accommodating, and although we took a couple of trips to see other beautiful spots in Eleuthera, our concensus afterward was next time we won't leave Helios House... and there will definitely be a next time!
We stayed at helios in March, literally a gem facing a stunning beach.There is also a superbe infinity pool and a spectacular sea view gym. AJacuzzi under construction... I can wait to come back next year. The mansion is just incredible, surrounded by an immense garden with palm trees and tropical plants. The staff is friendly and helpful; at our arrival they offered us fresh coconut and papaya collected the day before by the gardener. We stayed in the main villa and in the tower. We really enjoyed our stay as the places is super comfortable and clean. You can notice the manicuculos attention for details of the owner. The kitchen is new and equipped with professional accessories. Initially we decided to opt for the private chef service only for the first night. They prepared for us fresh lobster, tuna tartare with several side dishes, home made bread and dessert ( a delicious cheesecake).... portions are generous. Cleaning service and setting the table is included; overall a great deal so good that we ended up opting for the chef for all the evenings of our stay. I suggest to make a deal with the owner even before departure so they can organize everything for you.
